July Painting
We met in the beginning of July, at the Lakeview Cemetery... a place where the major art founders of Cleveland are resting, (as well as some major American celebrities, like President Garfield and Elliot Ness.) When you are are there, it does not feel eerie or gloomy... on the contrary! ... It is amazingly beautiful, with trees, lakes, chapels, monuments and incredible artwork. So naturally, it is one of the best places to paint. We sat near the Wade Chapel... some of us painting medieval-looking crypts, and some of us painting the vast gardens, with the beautiful sculptures. It felt really good to be there. It felt like we were breathing in a part of the past, and marking it forever, on canvas.
